A friend of mine is looking to purchase or replicate something similar to the dress Catherine Zeta Jones wore in the party scene in ‘Mask of Zorro’. Simply identifying what -type- of dress it was would go a long way to helping me, and thus her, out. Knowing where to procure one, even better. Any help would be appreciated.

I frankly admit to being no expert on dresses beyond whether they make me think “Ooh mama” or not. But my personal guess would be that the style is Hollywood Mexican.
Looks a bit like a Juliette outfit, which would make it 17th century based fantasy dress, updated for an modernday viewer and given Latin frills.
