Help Me Identify This Neil Young Song

Please bear with me, my recollection of this one is sketchy. About 8 years ago there was a show on TV called Due South. It was about an RCMP officer that partnered with a Chicago cop. The song was played during an episode where the detectives had to solve a string of muggings that targeted the elderly. There is a scene where an old man figures out that the mail carrier has been doing it since he knows when they get their Social Security checks. The old man decides to murder the mail carrier and heads into a tunnel in the park to do so. Enter the Neil Young song. The only line that I can remember from it goes something like, “I am the heart. The heart of vengeance.” The song builds slowly and by the time the confrontation happens, the song has gained incredible intensity. Anyone recognize it? I tried to find it in the credits to no avail.

Are you positive it was Neil Young? I’m searching for those lyrics and his name and getting zip-o.

Is it possible for you to contact the show’s producers/company? How about posting at a fansite? You already thought of these? Ok, I’ll shut up now.

Well I couldn’t find the musical credit at the end of the show so I can’t say for certain. But his voice is pretty distinctive and it was definitely similar to his style…

Google turns up nothing.

au contraire, mon Cardinal! sorry, just happy I found this. I love Due South. Ok, you saw Season One Episode “An Eye for an Eye”. Here’s the trouble, it’s not a Neil Young song, says it’s Moist, doing “Push”. More trouble, can’t hook up the lyrics you remember. Here’s a few links, best of luck to you.

Oh thank God. The link is much appreciated Deep Purple. I’ll see if I can find a copy of the song. Thanks again.

I just listened to it. I don’t know how to say this, but I’ve never heard that song before. I can’t fault your facts. The links seem to make it open and shut. Now I’m just totally confused.
