Sia's Breath Me- where have I heard this?

So, thanks to this thread I went and listened to this song.

Yes, it makes me cry, thanks guys.

It is also very familiar, where have I heard it before (I know, Six Feet Under, I mean elsewhere)?

Sons and Daughters?

Anyone?

:p:D:)

Did you watch the 2006 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show? According to wiki, those are the two (with Six Feet Under) nationally televised spots. That’s all I got.

It was on a commercial during the Olympics that was played extremely frequently…huh, a Coke commercial, according to Google. (Clearly it was tremendously effective since I had to look up the product in question.)

It played over the final five minutes of the last episode of Six Feet Under.

CSI Miami also used it in one of their episodes (just don’t ask me which one).

It seemed that for a while it had become the ubiquitous song for any heart-wrenching montage, so I’d suspect there’s probably a few others beyond what’s been mentioned so far.

I apparently have made a minor hobby collecting different versions of this song. The best is from KCRW 2006. The Sneaker Pimps remix is also very good.

Maybe you all can help me with a similar request. About a week ago, I caught the tail end of a Cold Case show where the caregiver to a mentally challenged young man was arrested for murder; he led the young man to believe he could stand in a train track and not get killed if he just prayed really hard. Needless to say the mentally challenged young man died and the caregiver ran off. Whew! The song that played at the end of the episode was “Over the Rainbow” and was sung by a man. The arrangement was very simple and haunting. Has anyone else seen the same episode and managed to find out who sang it and if it’s on Itunes? I hope this helps.

It was probably sung by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. Was it just him and a ukelele? It’s a great version, and it is available on iTunes.

And Raygun99, Six Feet Under has been mentioned twice already, once by the OP.

Anybody got link?

I’m going to hell for laughing at that.
