I remember seeing this movie on TV a few years ago; it may have been a pilot for a series. It’s set in the future. An anti-aging serum was discovered, but some people had a gene that caused them to devolve into Neanderthals. The surivivors live in a domed city and have colored jewels in their chests. People are only allowed to mate if they have the same color. One of the characters is half-human, half-Neanderthal and has a black jewel. They sent teams into the desert to look for survivors. Can anybody help me figure out what movie this is?
Thank you for making me crazy for twenty minutes trying to dredge the name of this damn thing out of my memory, Google and IMDB. I remember the movie in great detail, everything except the name of the movie and the name of a single actor who appeared in it.
That whole “can’t have sex with people outside your gem color” business pissed me off. What, these people have super-advanced science but have never figured out birth control?
It was a pilot that didn’t take off. It also had one cross mutent father, normal mother. I think that charater was the bailif on Night Court.
Forget the bailif comment. I can now picture the guy in my head and that wasn’t him.
