Help me love Armor.

I have read here and various other places about what a great read John Steakley’s Armor is.

I don’t get it. I’m about half way through it (no spoilers please, I will finish it) and I just don’t get it.

I mean the first part was ok, but I didn’t love it. Seems like I read something like it before, hmmm Starship Troopers maybe :rolleyes: ?

I’m going to keep reading it, hoping it get’s better, but so far. . .

So tell me, what am I missing? Is it just me? :confused:

You are not alone. I picked it up because I was quite impressed with “Vampire$” and it had been strongly recommended by people whose opinions I respected. I didn’t see what all the fuss was about.
