In my own defense let me at least suggest that these may refer to movies I don’t want to see.

he shoots a cow like a thousand times in me, myself and irene. there is a dead cow on the road and he puts it out of its misery, but shooting it with a handgun just makes it worse, so he has to shoot it over and over and it keeps wakeing up every time it appears dead.
Were you writing a story or something? Seems like little words in brainstorming for a plot.
