My wife REALLY wants to try this contraption in the bed room for the bounce and queening options. The “Positions” they list are hysterical but she is intrigued by many of them. But the manufacturer seems pretty shady and there are few similar options online to choose from. The ones on Amazon all have poor reviews and are expensive.
So anyway, this thing looks REALLY easy to replicate at home and I’m thinking the frame will be pretty damn easy to make out of PVC, which will also allow it to be broken down and hidden as needed. They even provide the dimensions of the product right on that page. My questions though are:
What gauge PVC should I use? It won’t take very much so I could probably build the thing out of 2" PVC from Lowes but I don’t really want the thing to look beefier than it needs to. What would you recommend? The heaviest thing it will ever support is my at around 170lbs.
What should I use for the straps? Looking for something bouncy but supportive enough that she can’t hit the floor, like really wide bungie? I was thinking another option would be not stretchy fabric with some sort of high tension springs hooked on.
Whats the best way to secure the straps to the PVC? I won’t be able to sew them on or whatever.
I heard you can actually dye PVC. Anyone ever done it?
I could build it “cube style” and use only 90 deg unions, but was thinking of maybe using 45 deg unions and have it flare out at the base for stability. Not sure how much this will stress the corners though if I do that.
Ok, so there you go. If we are successful maybe I’ll have my wife start selling them out of the house. PROFIT!
You’re going to spend all that time, experimentation, and money when you could just buy one already tested (!?) for $50? Is it worth it, or is building it part of the excitement?
No (it’s actually $75 with shipping). Like I said, the website is kind of shady, and in the time it would take to order it and have it shipped to us i could already have it built and be tearing it up!
Way, way out of my element here (neither fabrication nor adventurous sex is a big part of my life these days), but for the straps you might consider elastic resistance bands people use for exercise and physical therapy, like these:
My wife has some of these from when she was rehabbing after surgery. She looped them around something and tied them in a knot, then stretched with them. The knots always seemed to hold. So you might be able to just loop them around your PVC bars and tie them tight. Maybe add some rubber cement to the part you knot if it looks like the knot is going to work loose.
Don’t do it. PVC is not a structural material. It’s decently strong in compression but it’ll fracture under torsional loads. Sharp, jagged, fractures. Alumni I is what it should be made of; strong but bends rather than breaks.
Apologies for not answering this properly. But after my brief perusal of the contraption…it looks like part of a cheap lawn chair. Perhaps I don’t understand the benefits. (I’m all ears, though! ) Wouldn’t an ottoman or something similar, that you probably already own, suffice?
The animation sequence makes me think of a better use for that product than as a sexual aid. I want that baby mounted over my toilet. I bet the CCyell and Squatty Potty combo would loosen logjams better than prune juice and Dulcolax.
I think the advantage is the bouncy straps. (TMI ALERT) For far too long after a knee injury, it was difficult for me to do most of the woman-on-top positions for long because of the stress on the joint. (/TMI ALERT) This puts most of the work on the bouncy straps, so you won’t get tired as quickly. And for people…ummm… of girth, it’ll make certain positions easier.
Lol. Yeah. We got a real kick out of the narratives on the site. Here’s a gem
Yeah the thing is kind of silly looking but what the hell. Sex should be fun and it was my wife’s idea.
For those wondering how we came to want this thing we were watching a porno and there was a very long sequence where the woman was sitting in a Queening Chair. Google it to find out what one is. It’s NSFW though. Anyway she loves receiving oral and found that scene to be quite hot and loved the idea of it. So while lookin around for a discrete option that could be broken down and put away we found that thing with the straps. She REALLY likes the idea of some of the positions they illustrate, though a lot are pretty dumb. She specifically likes the idea of being able to bounce. So now I’m trying to make one of those. We are quite fit, not over weight and don’t have any medical issues like bum knees etc… Just want to try one out. If it works cool, if it doesn’t? Oh well. Lol.
As far as the shatter factor of PVC some mentioned I hear you. But they make furniture grade pvc. And with as short as the lengths of pipe will be (well under 2 ft) I can’t imagine use being able to shatter or snap 2" pipe with even the most ferocious banging.
Conversation is fun but I’m really still looking for help with the task in the OP. Mostly the straps part.
ETA: Just dawned on me we’ve been married almost 10yrs and have 3 kids. Guess we’re pretty lucky that we are still into experimenting and having fun sex.
