Help me name a game store! Bring it on!

This seems like you need another word.

What about “Comic Sands”

Throne of Games

“In the back, on the left. Knock first, the lock’s broken.”

Holy crap, this! Copyright it immediately.

“Friendly Neighborhood gaming store”?

Best comic store I have ever been to was Chapel Hill Comics. It used to be called Second Foundation, but the new owner changed the name to something simple, direct, and easy to understand. That change, among others, transformed the store from a niche place that only a few nerds went to, to a really hopping comic store that made bank.

This, and Nerdvana, get my votes.

I thought you were buying an existing store? But you’re changing locations, names and getting new inventory?

It might be fun to do something ironically over the top like the Simpsons “The Android’s Dungeon” instead of trying to make it actually cool.

I really like this one. It’s cute and disarming and many comic book game nerds will enjoy the Spider-Man reference.

“Throne of Games” sounds like a fast-track to a trademark challenge cease and desist in the near future.

Make the name simple: The XYZ Comic Shop, where XYZ is the town or suburb.

In gaming circles, it’s FLGS - friendly local game store.

Comically Insane Games

How about a Latin name? Latin always looks good on a t-shirt. Something totally random and unimpressive in English but that sounds cool in Latin:

Loci Universum Comics
Luna Excelsis Comics
Ultima Porcos Comics
Deus Pollicis Comics
Gothicam Risus Comics

Nerd Supply Depot

The Nerdery.

Wayne-Banner Comics and Games

“From Bruce to Bruce and Beyond!”

If your name were Richard, you could call it Dick Knows Games.

“Karen’s Game Store”

Whenever I see questions like this, I always want to get stuff named after me. Like that guy, Craig, who has a famous List named after him. Man, that guy is famous. When I see empty buildings with a sign saying “YOUR NAME HERE” I always imagine it says “KAREN”.

Best to happen to me so far is the moon of Pluto was named Charon, which is technically pronounced “Karen” (but no one ever pronounces it that way… :frowning: )

These are my favorites,. Not fancy or too obscure, but very friendly, welcoming and clear what you’re selling.

This is the winner!

For a runner-up, contact CBS and get the rights to The Comic Center of Pasadena.
