I offer my old Weber kettle grill, and a leftover Easter bunny treat box, which I will fill with Rolos (8 Rolos can fit inside). What the heck, I’ll throw in the full back of Rolos!
Top THAT, Internet!

I gotta admit, I’m leaning toward ‘Go Big!’ It’s got a certain je ne sais quoi that moves me.
All Your Base
But when people hear “Go Big!” will they think it is a gaming/comic/collectibles store, or will they think it is a clothing store for larger women and/or men? Would you consider taking the top ten names listed so far and asking your employees which names they think would draw people to your store?
I’ve been doing that all along.
Put together a list, Czarcasm. I’ll share with all.
Perhaps you could make it a Sudoku like puzzle that people would have to solve to figure out what the name of the store is. You know, as a tie in to the gaming aspect.
This is why I’m not in marketing…
Afoot Games
Everybody is giving suggestions from the gaming angle, but it is a comic book store, too. Which should be getting the bigger emphasis? (Bagged and Boarded (also a funeral home) The Long Box (also a strip joint).)
Wow, so instead of retiring he basically drew you in as a competitor for the final years of his business. Sad and dumb.
You might be able to get ten if you throw out the obscure names and the ones with possible copyright problems. Any name that isn’t tied to the name of the owner or the store’s location should be able to clue someone in on what is being sold, because that makes it easier to remember. Also, the logo is important-if they have trouble remembering the name you get a second chance if they remember the logo.
Games Bitches!
Will you be having any on-site gaming?
Depends… do you want to include or exclude people who are non avid gamers? I’m not a gamer and I would not wander into a place that had a clever reference that I don’t recognize, but I may think a place with games and collectibles would be interesting enough to check out.
I like naming it after the town/city. I think it sets the idea that this it THE Games/Comics/Collectible place in the area. In Big Friendly Font.
A combo name/nick name can be nice, too, in the right locale. Like, if you were in Dallas it could be Big D or D-Town Games and Comics (yes, yes, I know. But people say “Big D” and don’t think about it, I swear). Or DalComics and Games. I don’t know if your locale would work for that.
Oooh, I like this. What you need is a 9-character store name, where no character is reused. Or an 18-character store name, using the same 9-character set twice (in certain patterns…) I will think about this. Nine characters isn’t very many…
Yes, along with other things. There’s room in the space - if we get the one we want - for 5-7 long tables that can be used for games, classes, crafts, whatever.
