Help me not panic! Airplane reservation problems

My daughter and I are flying to London Saturday. Expedia found the combination of flights that would get us there in the time frame needed at the best price. Today my daughter gets e email with the final information (we made the reservations quite a while ago), and my daughter reads it carefully to find that our flight to Charlotte, NC, has been changed so that we get into Charlotte an hour after our flight to London takes off.

She calls Expedia, and of course they’re horrified, etc. She gets put on hold for a very long time. The guy gets back on, gives the new flight information and a case number. She also gets his name. He promises to email all the new information immediately.

You guessed it - no email has been received. It’s been an hour. Tell me it will all work out. When I get back next week, then tell me all the ways Expedia has screwed you!

I’m guessing you are flying on US Airways. Just click here and put in your particulars and see what your current status is.

Any reservation made more than a month in advance is subject to frequent changes (sometimes even reservations made less than a month in advance!). This is routine stuff. It should be taken care of.

Yes, it is US Air! The Expedia guy said they should have contacted us when they changed the flight and that someone at Expedia should have realized that the new flight would get us in too late. He said he was sorry that we slipped through the cracks twice.
