I had (or so I thought) a reservation to fly up to see my birth family tomorrow. I, like the idiot I am (so I am also Pitting myself to a certain extent) only bothered to check the dates an hour ago when I was printing out my itinerary, noticing to my extreme chagrin that the 10th that I know I had typed in on their website a few weeks back had mysteriously been changed to the 8th at some point along the line (which of course was tomorrow).
:smack::smack::smack::mad::mad::mad::(:(
The kicker is that AAA had already hosed me over once before, in January when I made a hotel reservation for the Rolex 24 race, and then too the date got changed without me noticing (to the previous weekend). Yes yes it is quite possible that this absent-minded fool put the wrong dates in twice and that it is my responsibility to double check them before finalizing things, but, when I went to the USAirway’s website (which has a similar interface) to check for the pricing and availability for tomorrow’s flights, I noticed that it too kept changing the dates.
Here try it yourself: go to USAirways, type in tomorrow’s date (whatever tomorrow is for you at your present moment) in the depart box, go over to the return box and type in when you want to come back (say the 14th). For me it changed “5/10/2012” to “4/30/2012” which of course is a flight that only Dr. Who could get on.
Lesson learned from these incompetent fuckers and their worthless Flash-based reservation algorithims-from now on I’ll only be making reservations of whatever sort with a flesh and blood person (even if he is named “Peggy”-couldn’t possibly be worse). shitpissfuckcuntcocksuckermotherfuckerannndtits.
The silver lining (if you can call it that) is that I probably would have canceled it anyway-the mother of my birth mother is in terminal condition and probably won’t make it through the weekend, and my birth mother will be leaving Friday to visit her. I now won’t be able to see 3 little angels in my 3 nieces.
