Help me pass this Win NT quiz please.

This quiz is from my boss at work. I know the answers to most of these, I just need confirmation. Just short yes no or few word answers. Most people on this board are computer geniuses, so it should be easy. I use and configure NT every day, but some of this stuff I just never think about. HELP PLEASE!!!

  1. Does Windows NT Support Plug and Play (Yes or No?)

  2. What file contains Boot choices for Windows NT?

  3. The NT Boot partition contains what system files?

  4. What are profiles used for in Windows NT?

  5. What 2 commands are used to edit the Windows NT registry?

  6. What is a Paging file?

  7. If you created a paging file it is best to create it on the boot or system partition or drive?

  8. NTFS Drives are faster then fat drives when the size exceeds 400mb?

  9. What command would you use to takes a snapshot of your system before and after a software installation, which will make notes of all files that were added or modified during the installation?

10 What is the default network protocol for NT?
11. What minimum network settings are required to install TCP/IP
12. What command would you use to create a NT emergency repair disk?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I was going to post some false answers, as I don’t care for people trying to use the boards to cheat on tests, but I’m in a forgiving mood today. You have internet access, RESEARCH.

Just to make you feel better, this is not a graded test. Its not for school. It means nothing. My boss just wants to get this information to see what some of the team knows. I know most of these answers, and I could look them all up, but if you people know the answers off the top of your head, why bother grabbing books. Ive got a Masters in EE, Ive done enough book scouring to last a life time. Thanks for ruining my thread BatzMaru.

By the way, I would have known that the answers you posted were false anyway and would have either caught on to your sceme, or thought you were a bone head.

Uh…right.

Sooooo, if your boss is using this as a test of your knowledge, getting answers from other people sorta invalidates the whole purpose of the test. Besides, if you know the answers already as you claim to do, why bother getting them from others?

There’s a trend I’ve noticed on these boards. Research first, ask later IF you can’t find the answer on your own. Laziness about research isn’t exactly encouraged.

By the by… Why did you post this in the Pit, anyhow, if you were looking for sincere answers?

Wrong forum. Plus, I don’t recall being on the same payroll as you. Closed.
