I recently got a new digital camera - a little Canon PowerShot S10. Its a great camera, but it only came with a 32mb memory card and I would like something that will hold more pictures. The camera takes CompactFlash cards and I want to get a 256mb card, but there are so many different brands and speeds that I just don’t know what would be best. Does anyone have any ideas? From reading reviews on Amazon and Bizrate, a lot of people seem to like Kingston cards, but, like I said, I don’t really know anything about memory cards.
The S10 can take type I or type II CF cards. A good review of CF cards can be found here. Personally, I don’t think it matters much, unless you’re shooting professionally (i.e. a LOT of photos in a short period of time, and using them in high-end cameras)
