Lots of teachers (Mrs. Dave-Guy included) use crossword puzzles. It’s a fun and interesting way to get students to learn specific words or phrases from the curriculum, along with their definitions and other important points.
There are sites/programs that generate crossword grids.
But I, too, join the ranks of those who ask “4th grade?” MissBHaven, are we to understand that you’re a wee lass of 9 or 10 years?
Or were you helping your own fourth grader cheat on his/her work by doing it for them while they sat around watching “Dexter’s Laboratory” and eating greasy, salty snack foods and sugar-laden carbonated beverages, coddling him/her in order to curry favor, be a “cool” parent, and otherwise contribute to the individual downfall of your child’s academic career and viable future, while undermining this country’s prospects for the next generation of leaders?
Actually, I was helping my 9 yr old son finish his crossword puzzle homework because he left his book at school and he asked me to help with the last 3 questions… ok maybe 4 or 5 but I knew those answers! HISTORIC PERIOD… that still kills me…
