Ella did a novelty song, of sorts, in which she describes all of the men she has loved and lost, with the twist being that she killed each of them in a new and ineresting way.
Can anyone recall the name of the song? P.S. It’s not “Stone Cold Dead in the Market.”
Thanks for any responses.
Also not Miss Otis Regrets? I only recall the one death there.
THAT’s the one! My wife was stuck on “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm,” but I knew that wasn’t it, either.
Thanks again!
Sophia Loren also sang it on one of her recordings with Peter Sellers in 1960. They were produced by George Martin. The Beatles took to George Martin because they were fans of the comedy recordings he did for EMI.
