Please help, o wise ones! I’ve had an old dance track stuck in my head for ages. It was a hit in the British charts around 1988-1990.
It being a dance track, there weren’t many lyrics and what words there were seemed largely constructed of lyrical samples. The chorus seemed to go something like “life, life, life” and “what’s going on?” The latter bit being a female voice, by the way. I have a feeling it was a hit about the same time as 808 State were having their moment in the sun and it sounds a bit like some of theirs but it isn’t (I don’t think)
