Help me rememember this Rabbi that had a Christian TV Show

I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember this Rabbi’s name. He had converted to Christianity. He had a program on the Christian Broadcast Network (CBN).

I have never seen such a skilled teacher. This gentleman brought such insight into the New Testament. After all, it was written by Jews for a Jewish audience. There’s a lot of subtle Jewish references in the New Testament that most Christians miss. This Rabbi was able to explain the background and meaning of this scripture.

One of his best shows was a trip to the Holy Land. He pointed out many places that are referenced in the Bible.

I recall seeing this gentleman on CBN 1985-1995. I just can’t recall his name. He may be with the Lord by now. He must have been nearly 60 when I last saw him.

Zola Levitt?

Thanks Sampiro.

Yeaaa! I finally got one!

Actually, it was mostly written by Gentiles for a Gentile audience.

Zola Levitt was never a Rabbi, by way, he was raised in Reform Judaism, but for his adult life was just a garden variety evangelical Christian (as all “Messianics” are).

My mistake. I always thought he was a Rabbi. He seemed so knowledgeable about Jewish traditions and rituals.

I used to watch his show when I came home for lunch.

He passed away a few years ago. I think his show still airs- usually with other hosts but occasionally they trot out his old material.
