I recently purchase’s Uniqlo’s Jogger Slim Fit Jeans which are the most comfortable pair of “jeans” I’ve worn in my life. They look like jeans, but they feel like you are wearing sweat pants. Now I’m considering replacing all my pants with stretch pants.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can do this with dress pants and regular pants? Any brands that I can look at that sell stretch dress pants? To be clear, this is about men’s pants.
Prana Stretch Zion are what I wear most of the time – very comfortable and I’ve actually had people look at them and say “Those are really nice pants.”
I bought a pair of the Duluth Dry on the fly flex pants for hunting but they are comfortable enough I’m wearing them to work now. I think they’ve got some without the cargo pockets if you wanted them to look more like slacks. I’m not sure how well they’d hold a crease though
Don’t do it. Slippery slope. Next, threading belt loops with rope, wearing oversize tshirts like they are dashikis, and wearing shower sandals for all occasions. After that, well, NSFW.
I plan to do all of the above, once I retire & am too old to embarrass my kids. I have some senior citizen neighbors who take out the trash, retrieve their newspapers, & walk their dogs in their bathrobes. God how I envy that comfort & freedom.
I don’t think it is quite like that anymore. There seems to have been some big breakthrough in materials science that I wasn’t aware of until recently. I bought one pair of Kenneth Cole stretchy jeans, wore them for a day and then immediately went back to buy more. They look like regular jeans but they are more comfortable, fit better and look better. These aren’t your grandfather’s stretch waistbands. The entire pair of jeans stretches a little without looking like sweatpants.
I can understand the OP’s motivation. I would also like the rest of my pants to be form fitting and comfortable like my new jeans. The rest of them now feel like I am trying to wrap myself in canvas sailcloth in comparison.
