I have some homework regarding KIEs and Hammett plotts. I don’t want you to do it for me, but I’d like if you could post some material or links that would explain it to me. It’s not in either of our advanced organic books, but somehow, we’re expected to know it… I think I missed the one day of class we touched on it.
Wiki, my primary source for homework help is no help here.

Why are you using Wiki for homework? Wiki is really nice, say, for looking up Battlestar Galactica trivia, or perhaps a list of the guys who played Doctor WHo, or even maybe for guessing Angie Everhart’s bra size.
But Wikipedia isn’t a primary source for reputable research. Perhaps, in some of the better articles, the sources cited in the wiki articles are good, but wiki? No.
Use Google…Do a search on How to prepare Hammett plots. I found a pdf with step-by-step directions on how to do it.
If you want scarier results, use Google Scholar.
It’s really mainly stuff like searching “styrene,” when I’ve forgotten what it looks like, or “Baeyer-Villiger” when I need a quick overview of what it does. It’s not serving as a tool for my research or anything, don’t worry.
