help me with a sleeping problem

For the last six months at least I have had a bizarre sleeping problem.

When I go to sleep I usually do not feel comfortable unless my arms are at my sides or actually under my body, and when I wake up they are usually “asleep”(as in like that tingly feeling when your foot falls asleep), sometimes I can barely feel them and they usually hurt when I get the feeling back. It is almost impossible for me to get to sleep without lying down on my stomach and having my hands at my side. But many times If I do fall asleep in a different position, sure enough when I awake I have at some point during the night turned over on my hands and they are 'asleep" when I wake up
Any others had this experience?

Your limbs are “falling asleep” because you’re partially cutting off blood circulation to them, as for your sleep problems, check out thissite.

I know why they are falling “asleep” I need a way to stop it that site doesn’t really help I already know what sleep is.

Pool, you’re not alone. My girlfriend has the same problem, she tends to sleep with her arms beneath her pillow and sure enough her arms end up falling asleep.

Coupled with her so called ‘restless leg syndrome’ she’s one crazy german kook.

She says that it might our mattress. Perhaps buy something you can adjust, or invest ina better matress? Also, you can try a sleep clinic.

here’s something crude to try out while waiting for the real advice to come in.

wear a cumbersome bracelet or something, such that it will not be comfortable to have them under your body while you sleep, so maybe you’ll move them away instinctively.
