Help Me With Peanuts Snoopy Decision

I’m deciding between buying the Peanuts 1960s Collection on DVD, which contains both Charlie Brown Christmas and Halloween plus others, and the deluxe DVD versions of each. I don’t really want to buy both, at least not now, so I’m leaning toward getting the collections. What, if any, extras do the deluxe Peanuts versions offer?

The decade-themed collections don’t have all the extras of the individual releases. Six specials, maybe one extra, rather than individual specials with a couple of extras apiece. Then again, the extras are rarely anything to write home about.

However, you may consider the box set “Deluxe Holiday Collection”; it contains the deluxe DVDs of the three main holiday shows with extras. The only thing you’ll be missing will be slipcovers for the individual titles (if those are even in production any more); all content otherwise is there. If you’re torn regarding formats, or think you may upgrade later, the Blu-Ray box set contains both Blu-Rays and the deluxe DVDs.
