HELP! Musical Broadcast Intro

We have a small video newscast every week at my high school and we are coming up with the intro right now. Right now we have a horrible intro and I said that I would find us a better intro song.
What would be a good intro song to play at the begining of the broadcast?

Probably a song with a moderatly fast begining would be the best.

We will be playing clips of things while the song plays so keep that in mind.

Something with “space” and an official tone, whatever song that may be. I was listening to NPR today and hearing their sig music over and over, which will happen from listening to the station for twenty minutes. Theirs features mainly quarter notes playing fourths and fifths from each other. Do you have means of cobbling something together with a keyboard?

Or, maybe record two trumpet players from your high school band playing a simple exercise a third apart from each other. How horrible is your intro? What does it consist of, and what mood are you trying to instill into the students before they view your newscast?

I’d suggest using something by Steve Reich or Philip Glass.
Maybe something from Music For 18 Musicians by Reich or Glassworks or Koyaanisqatsi by Glass.
Compelling and dramatic, plus you can fade in and out cleanly from almost any point.
