After a night of a little more sleep than I usually get (8 hours vs my usual 5-6 hours), I woke up the next morning and looked in the mirror to find that the double eyelid on my left eye looked more prominent than the one on the right. It looks as if there is a little more fluid in the eyelid area and so the distance between the two “lines” on my left eyelid is a little larger than on my right eyelid.
This happened about 4 days back. I thought the disparity would gradually disappear but it hasn’t and I need to take some passport photos of myself for a job application, which is terrible because I now don’t look very symmetrical and it gets worse if I smile!Anyone knows of anything I can do?
Maybe it’s a pimple. I had one near one of my tear ducts that caused the eyelid to puff up (no one else seemed to notice, or they were all polite) for a few days.
after undergoing minor eyelid surgery a couple weeks ago for a stye that refused to go away (said surgery may be safely categorized as Not Much Fun, especially if they under-med on the local), i’d suggest trying some warm compresses on the eyelid. does seem to help with swelling. it’s also the recommended first line of treatment if you do happen to be throwing out a stye.
