My lovely (see: crazy) old parents have asked me to track down a movie for them that they vaguely remember hearing good things about. The movie is about a South African Opera. The first word of the title may be “Il” (does that just mean ‘the’ in Italian though? I guess its still helpful in this situation). We believe it is being released onto dvd this month. Any assistance would of course be most appreciated and I do apologize for the generally lame query, though upon locating the film I promise to follow-up and provide feedback as to whether or not it is indeed worth seeing.
U-Carmen eKhayelitsha?
It won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2005
wow, that took like 2 seconds. Thanks!
No problem! I wish I had had the internet when I was managing a Blockbuster store years ago!
Hey, this isn’t just ANY message board, y’know. Why don’t you try something challenging?
Then get your parents to join us. We could use some old blood.
For the record: Apparently the moved was much-enjoyed by everyone who watched it.
thanks again.
Am I the only one who read the thread title as:
