I have been trying to see all of IMDB’s Top 250 Films, so Twelve Monkeys just got in the DVD Player. Very intriguing film. A few thoughts/Questions:
-
Was the old woman at the end on the plane with Brad Pitt’s Dad’s assistent one of the scientists from the future? It looked like one of them and the fact that her job was “insurance” was kind of telling.
Was she insurance for when Willis failed? They said that they weren’t trying to prevented, but simply identify the source. -
Didn’t Bruce Willis REALLY Change the past despite constant comment that he couldn’t? He told Stowe of the future which prompted her call to Pitt’s Dad (I can’t recall his real name). It seemed to me that prompted Pitt’s Dad to take himself out of the security looped, allowing his assistent to gain greater access to the virus.

What was the significance of Jose handing Willis the Gun in the airport? Was he trying to stop the bad guy? What about not changing the past? I seemed to be missing something.

Speaking of guns, why did the ballistics report on the bullet Stowe removed from Willis show that it was fired 70 years ago? I understand why they would be able to identify it was fired from a WWI era gun, but the bullet wouldn’t have deteriorated enough to identify the age.
Good Film. I need to see it again.
