Hebrew and Arabic writing? I’m guessing that it’s an Israeli coin of some kind.

It says “shekel” in Hebrew. I’m guessing it’s a shekel. 
EDIT: Oops…it says “Israel”. Duh.

If it’s the smooth edge in good condition, it’s worth a dollar or two to a collector. The reed edge is rare and much more valuable.
