Help: 'Wicked Game' lyrics, want to fall in love or not?

Seeking a definitive answer here!

Chris Isaak, ‘Wicked Game’. Some sources suggest that in the first chorus, the repeated line is ‘I don’t want to fall in love’, whereas by the time we get to the second or third chorus, it has changed to ‘I want to fall in love’. Which could be quite a nice, clever piece of songwriting.

Other sources suggest it’s ‘don’t’ all the way through.

Well, which is it? We’ve got to obey the SDMB rules here - we can’t post lyrics, infringe copyright or post links to sites that infringe rights. But perhaps the Teeming Millions can help me out without breaking the rules.

I love the song and won’t fault the singer or the delivery, but his rather ‘slurred and blurred’ style means that it’s hard to tell just by listening exactly what he’s singing. Does anyone have the definitive answer?

Great song and great video. Have you heard the HIM version of it? Try it, I was shocked at how what a great job Ville Valo did with the vocals.

Anyway, it does change to “I want to fall in love” after the “what a wicked thing to do to make me dream of you” line and later becomes “No, I want to fall in love” after “I never dreamed I’d lose somebody like you.” Having just listened to both, I can clearly hear it in both the Isaak original and the HIM cover.

Um, what’s HIM? Is that an actual name or an acronym? (I’d like to check it out on iTunes if it’s avail)

Both. It stands for His Infernal Majesty, but the band most often goes by the acronym. I searched iTunes and the song is there; plug in HIM for artist and Wicked Game for song.
