not sure that this is a proper question for this site.
I remember a partial quote from a movie and I cannot remember the movie. I’ll provide more information once someone confirms this is a legitimate question for this for this forum
TIA

Uhhh… that’s a tough one- I wanna say Ender’s Game (2013).
This would be an appropriate question for the Cafe Society forum.

Welcome to the Straight Dope Message Board, Moviegal.
We have a forum here called Cafe Society, which is all about art, drama, literature, movies, music, comics, cuisine, basically all artistic disciplines. Questions seeking the identity of a movie are quite common there.
I will move this thread to that forum for you. Feel free to post more information.
Moving thread from About This Message Board to Cafe Society.
The Eiger Sanction (1975)?
“He is cunning; he is crafty; he’s not just going to walk in here and say, Here I Am!”
"Here I Am!"
“…I tell you something, I am almost disappointed.”
“I’m waiting!!!” Vinzini. Princess Bride

Okay, here’s the setting(be prepared … it is vague):
Guy and gal have been in a relationship for awhile, all going okay. Something occurs and he spouts off and says/treats her badly.
She looks at him as if just recognizing him now, and says something like …
“Oh, there you are. I remember you. I thought you had gone.”
Have at it!
Thx
Any time frame for when the movie was made/released?
The Philadelphia Story (1940)? Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant (and Jimmy Stewart and Ruth Hussey)? :dubious:
NB: This movie was later remade as the musical High Society (1956), with Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby (and Frank Sinatra and Celeste Holm).
But your quote sounds more like Katharine Hepburn to me.
Are you sure?
I don’t remember anything like that in The Eiger Sanction (1975).
There’s a scene similar to that in What’s Love Got to Do with It. Ike is talking to Tina trying to be nice and get her to come back and he loses his temper. Tina says something like, “There you are. I was wondering when old Ike Turner was gonna come back.”
That is very similar to what is said in the movie I am trying to recall.
