Help with a song, "Jubilation, Celebration, something, something."

I overheard a background song in what I believe is a car insurance commercial. I believe I have heard it before but I can’t remember what the song is or who sung it. Maybe you saw the commercial and heard the song? I believe it is a folk or Americana type tune and goes, “Oh Jubilation, something, something, Celebration, something…”. It reminded me of Vic Chesnutt, sonically. Maybe it is one of his songs or a song he has covered?

Anyone know?

I haven’t seen the commercial, but the first thing that came to mind when I read your post was “Jubilation” by Paul Anka. If the words go:

Great jubilation, a song celebration beginnin’
Total rejection of lies and deception and sinnin’…

…although I don’t know how they could tie a song about God into buying insurance.

Was this any help?

“Teenage Rampage” by The Sweet. You picked a good day to ask this question.

No, I don’t believe it was either of these. It was a folksy tune.

My guess is it’s the legendary Cliff Richard song, Congratulations.

Oops sorry. I’m starting to get cocky about my song-recognition-fu.

Nope, not Cliff Richards. Thanks for the tries, everybody.

May I suggest The Moody Blues, “Procession” may be the song name.

Is this the song with the line “I have been restored” ? Very unusual sounding arrangement, reminiscent of songs in the 'O, Brother, Where Art Thou?" line?

I don’t know the name of the song, but the way they are tying it in to buying their insurance is this: A woman is driving around in a complete car while all around her people are struggling with cars that are stripped down, damaged shells…not even accident-damaged cars, but unpainted chassis, no glass, no seats no tires…the implication being that other insurance companies don’t pay to fix your car after an accident, but if you buy their insurance, your car will be completely restored and beautiful after a claim.

It has taken me three viewings of the commercial to understand the song (very unusual vocals , with two or more voices overlaid and singing competing lyrics in that harsh, twangy sound) and get the point (which seems iffy…my insurance has always paid to restore my car to pre-accident shape) and I still don’t know the name of the insurance company. If I did, maybe a search of their website would reveal the name of the tune.

My guess is Bob Sinclar’s Love Generation.

It’s a very good guess.

Note: I haven’t made a typo with Bob Sinclar’s name.

Yes, I believe that’s the commercial and song! I’ll have to pay a little more attention next time I see it. I’ve seen it a few times but all that ever sticks is the song. I just know that much of it is an inside the car shot of a lady driving.

It isn’t Love Generation, ayalabmaj. Thanks for the guess.

How come when you want to see a commercial again it’s never on, but if you can’t stand it, it comes on three times in one viewing session? Anybody know which insurance company it is?

Farmer’s Insurance.

This isn’t the right song, but I immediately thought of Simon & Garfunkel’s "Cecilia"

Okay, I went to the Farmer’s Insurance website, and they have a link to their latest commercial…a bunch of film clips using the word more…their current ad campaign has to deal with giving you more, not something being restored. Either they have two ad campaigns running, or it’s not Farmer’s.

I saw it again yesterday. It is Farmer’s Insurance.

I still can’t find the song after registering more of the lyrics. It goes, “Jubilation, Celebration, Restoration, etc… Shout it across the country (land?)!” (approximately)

Or maybe it was “Shout it across the nation!”. Shoot!! Shoot! Shoot! I tried to rememeber the lyrics and lost it for the simple fact that I wanted to remember it, know what I mean?

You weren’t looking hard enough.

I’ve been restored by Bob Pyle.

Ah…that window for that link cycles through several different screens, and I never saw that screen! Right under the permanent link for their latest commercial. Silly people…but that’s the song! Thanks, GuanoLad…hope devilsknew comes back soon…

Jubilation! Celebration!

Thank you very much, all!

Bob Pyle, hmmm? Seems like it’s from an album of novelty tunes? I’ve never heard of him before.

Thanks again.
