Help with a song

I heard this song on the radio a month or so ago, and then again on Friday night. (KRBE, for you Houstonians)

KRBE is one of those stations that plays the 5 most popular pop tunes over and over again all day, but occasionally throws in something old or different. I cannot figure out the title or artist, so I am hoping that someone here will know what the heck it was. :slight_smile: I called the station, she didn’t answer. When I did get through later it was a different DJ and she didn’t know the song from the part I remembered. Here’s hoping you guys are better than she is! :stuck_out_tongue:

The chorus starts:

“Got a lady, she’s very special to me,
(blah blah don’t remember) special and beautiful (I think)”

Later in the song he sings “Night and day” a few times.

The song has a midtempo beat, not fast, but not slow. It also has a reggae feel to it, and during certain parts of the song there is a clapping sequence.

I know this is a shot in the dark since none of you can hear me sing it, and I know very few words, but Google isn’t helping and it’s driving me crazy.

I don’t know. The DJ didn’t announce anything before or after, since they broadcast from a club on Friday nights.

I’ve never heard of Shaggy to tell you the truth. :slight_smile:

Doh, looked up Shaggy and found “It wasn’t Me”. I’m fairly sure I know that song, but I don’t THINK it would be by him…
