Help With an Ethical Dilemma (Friendship-Related, Long)

I agree; going on a group vacation is more about spending time with the people you enjoy rather than the room you’re going to be sleeping in. If it’s anything like the vacations that I’ve had that involve hotels, you’re not going to be spending much time in the room beyond sleeping, showering and getting ready for the day.

Also, Food and Wine Festival is the best reason ever to do Drinking Around the World at Epcot-- it’s not as entertaining without the extra “fancy” food and drink options all over the place and the free beer tasting in the USA section, courtesy of Samuel Adams. If you feel like you’re getting too tipsy too fast, stop in Japan for some Ramune soda-- for some reason, the ingredients in the soda tend to put a halt to feeling tipsy/drunk right away.

That is the opposite effect I’m usually going for.

Oh, it usually is for me too, but I found out this phenomenon by accident. Was a teeny tiny bit tipsy in the Japan gift shop, saw Ramune and had to have some. Five minutes later, I’m as sober as if I hadn’t had anything to drink at all. :frowning: At least it was tasty soda.
