i want to re-read a book my friend recommended a few years back, but the title and author escape me. I believe the authors name is something like mary louis sisko and the book (fiction) deals with the protagonist a white female looking for her abducted baby, a lot of native american themes. I think it was actually written by a native american author. characters i recall mosca, a lot of drug running; using, it was a big ass book. help me sdmb your my only hope as my friend is china and i cannot get in touch with him.

The author is Leslie Marmon Silko, and it seems to fit your description. The reviewer doesn’t seem to care for it much, but that never stopped me.
