Help with msconfig

I’m hoping that someone will be able to help me out with this again as it was here that I got the answer to my original question about msconfig.

Anyway, if i type msconfig under “run” in the start menu it brings up the system configuration utility. From there I can edit which programs I want to start up automatically when my computer is turned on. I told my wife to try this on her computer at work and it couldn’t find “msconfig”. She did a search and could not find msconfig anywhere on her computer.

So I told her that I would turn to the teeming millions and assured her that I (meaning you guys) would fix the problem…can anybody help me out here? Is there another command she could use other than msconfig to access the system configuration utility?

You neglect to supply vital information like OSs etc. In any case, MSCONFIG comes with win98 but not win95.

msconfig is only on windows 98, so if your wife is using anything else, that’s definitely the problem. another possiblity is that it may not be installed. if that’s the case, look for it in add/remove programs.
