Help with my cheese sandwich slices going bad really quickly

Cheaper to get sliced cheese at the delicatessen counter, where it’s cut fresh from the block, and they give it to you in waxed paper AND a sealable plastic bag.

I never used to buy the stuff, but I recently got all nostalgic for New Haven food…everything with melted cheese had white American on it. So I keep it around for cheeseburgers and breakfast sandwiches.

Maybe soon I’ll attempt to reproduce Yorkside Pizza’s famous Tuna Salad Grinder…”just enough tune to hold the mayonnaise together,” with white American cheese melted over it, plus shredded lettuce and supermarket pale tomato slices.

ROFL!

A salient point though. Clean hands in the kitchen, and as little contact as possible with the remaining pieces could make all the difference.
