I have a Samsung Eternity model SGH-A867 on the AT&T network.
It’s supposed to have apps, play music, etc. Trouble is I can’t figure out how to get music onto the thing or get photos off the thing. Where do I get apps and games? I am assuming my iTouch apps are not going to be compatible.
First thing is I don’t have a USB to phone cord which I am sure I’ll need to transfer music and photos. I’ll get one soon but if I can’t get apps and games then why bother with this thing? Should I chuck it and go for the Virgin Mobile $45/mo phone?
I should mention that while this phone is internet capable I have that turned off due to the expense.
This review might help you. One thing I note is the review was done two years ago, so this isn’t a very new phone. It’s hard to tell from the review, but I think the “apps” might be the preloaded software features that the review mentions.
Thanks for the info. Further research has indeed confirmed I’ll need to update the phone. Apparently there are a bunch of apps for Samsung phones, but I’ll of course need to upgrade to get them. I too thought it weird I didn’t get the usb cable and a CD for the software but it didn’t come in the package.
