I’ve seen Dopers name songs with seemingly the vaguest of description, but for anyone who hasn’t seen the movie there isn’t much to go on.
(I have seen the movie, but only when it was first released and don’t remember it well enough to think of what song was playing.)
I liked this movie a LOT when I saw it, but since I haven’t seen it since it was released I’m not placing the scene. Was it right when the end credits start? If so, someone on the IMDB message boards asked that same question and the answer was “This Too Shall Pass” by OK Go. (link is to YouTube video). There’s no soundtrack listing on IMDB, it’s greyed-out, but I found this link regarding the soundtrack listing songs. OK Go is not listed. Someone on another message board said that there’s another song not on the soundtrack, “Play” by Stephen Fretwell. Among all those, I hope you can find which song you’re looking for.
What a fantastic movie, very dark and funny! It should have been a hit. I always meant to see it again but it came and went so quickly I never got the chance. I’ll have to get the DVD.
