Herding Cats - tries a mom's patience.

Herding cats ain’t easy.

It takes mommy leopard three tries to get her two Cubs across the road. Her patience and gentleness is so inspiring. I’ve seen human mom’s with a lot less patience.

The video made my day and I needed a reason to smile today.

Similar video with mama bear and Cubs. I never realized that roads are a challenge for wildlife.

That was cute.

I hope the person taking the video was inside a car and ready to back the car out of there any moment. However used to people Mama seems to be, I suspect she’d defend those cubs in a hurry if she thought somebody was trying to get too close.

I’ve heard leopards are secretive and rarely seen. I think she’d normally cross that road in the blink of an eye.

Mama cat was looking for possible trouble and gave the cubs time to cross. She put herself in potential danger for them.

Your right, it would be a bad idea to get too close.

Yeah, they are hard to spot in the wild. I was in Kenya and the guide heard a pair had been spotted, about 15 vehicles surrounded them and even then I barely caught a glimpse. And concur, they are not animals you want to make grumpy.

So, so cute. (:))

Don’t they already come with spots?

:dubious:

You’ve never encountered road kill?

I was referring to the danger from other predators. Most highways have a large area cleared of undergrowth on each side. The leopard was clearly very concerned and was constantly looking for any threat to her cubs.

I hadn’t thought about the danger that cleared land represented. There is no where to hide from predators

The danger from traffic is a given.
