This cracks me up. I highly doubt that child molesters molest children 100% of the time, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to leave my three year old alone with them. Somehow I can’t see why this same logic wouldn’t hold true with a FREAKIN’ BENGAL TIGER!!!
Yep WIGGUM, idiots… My dad works for the San Diego Wild Animal Park and they are always getting wild animals that have been kept as pets and have ended up hurting someone. This, in turn, usually ends up with the animal being hurt as well. Bad situation for the people and animals.
I’d take it one step further though. I think anyone who leaves an infant/toddler alone or unsupervised with almost any animal is an idiot. I have heard so many stories of, “Oh, well this dog/cat loves my baby. He would never hurt anyone!” and the like. What a bunch of bullshit. No animal can ever be tamed 100%, and they almost never lose their curiosity, no matter how domesticated they are. This can result in injuries, especially if the child is surprised at the animal’s investigation and grabs it or crys out, scaring the animal.

(I should just shut up about animals here, I swear… It always leads to trouble. WTF, I just can’t help myself. ;))
Mike Mulligan had a steam shovel,
a beautiful red steam shovel.
Her name was Mary Anne.
What’s so “freakish” about a cat biting someone? It’s happened to me many times before. In this case, you have a 400-pound tiger biting a 3-year-old boy. No wonder there was a serious injury!
When I was in Arkansas, I visited the Turpentine Creek wildlife refuge, and was amazed to learn how many people start raising tigers or lions as pets, and then realize “Boy this is a big cat” and have to get rid of them. (Turpentine Creek specializes in adopting neglected or unwanted animals, especially big cats, but also bears, monkeys, deer and birds.)
