Happy for you Butters, and happy for Buddy (albeit I do think he looks like an Axel…;)
Sari, your days wear me out, too. Did the love seat make it to the dump?
Bumba, sounds like you had a good start; hope the actual sale goes as well.
Been reviewing my pictures from my vacation, almost 1600 downloaded, but a lot are copies (my old camera will double-shoot pictures a lot when it’s clicked). Reviewed 600 so far and will get to 800 before bedtime, hope to finish the review on Sunday.
Nappage turned into sleepage (anything over an hour is no longer nappage IMHO) so I’ll probably be up late tonight.
Worked, came home. the weather is messing with my asthma, so Gordie only got a short walk today. I did see my dream car at Harris Teeter, a Triumph TR-6.
Yay for being adopted by [del]Axel[/del]Buddy, Butters!
DH and I were able to find an unprogrammed key for our car on eBay and take it to the dealership for programming. Saved at least half the cost of buying a key from the dealership.
had fun went to cousins house played dungeons and dragons … ate bbq pork sliders …going ot finish tomorrow … hope nephew makes the dinner he was going to make tonight … sounds yummy …
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 95 and mostly cloudy for the day but a zero percent chance of rain. The biggie plan of the day is deheathenization (I have ush duty) followed by N.O.L. which shall be BK bein’ as we have BOGO free coupons for Whoppers.[supTM[/sup] We are, above all, [del]cheap[/del] thrifty. Other than that, it shall be chillage. Sup will be via forage.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, purtification for deheathenization must commence.
Morning (hang on, let me check that- yup, barely) all!
Laaazy start today. I’ve had something on for at least most of the day every other day this week, so a laaazy day is quite welcome. I’ll probably go brave the stinging things briefly later- I’m going to try cut the grass in front of the hive, I’ve an inkling that might be part of the issue- sounds daft, but the top of the grass is right at hive entrance height, waving around, so there’s moving things right outside, which might be upsetting them. Previously, the site owner’s been cutting the grass, but recently if he gets the strimmer out, they’re going crazy. I’ll do a proper check inside later in the week.
Aside from that, today’s plan is to relax and read things, which is my favourite kind of plan. Happy Sunday!
When did Harris Teeter start selling cars??? <snerk>
**FCD **and I are going out for breakfast once he gets his butt out of bed. That’s the extent of my plans for today so far. The critters have been tended to and shortly, I’ll hit the shower, then nudge my sweetie with a pointy stick poke because it’s not breakfast if you eat it after noon.
Congrats on the new cutie Butters, look at those ears
It’s a N.O.S 73 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 91.
The main item on the agenda for today is to whack out front and hose down the porch.
Finally.
I have a bunch of weeds out back that need to be bagged up.
I also want to get the last of the mulching done.
We’re waiting until 9 to get started, still kind of early for a Sunday.
I want to get all this stuff done today because I will be irking a lot of overtime for the next two weeks. It’s predicted to be very busy so is an opportunity to make some extra money.
The love seat didn’t make it to the dump, MetalMouse. My son is pretty adamant that he is not ever going back to that place again.
Yes he is.
Watching the men’s Wimbledon finals. Go Federer! Then to the barn and Ariel will get new shoes. A hot hoomid week is predicted. Auto correct wanted to change hoomid to homosexual. Gleeps!
I have strawberry ice cream firming up in the freezer. It looks as if it will be really good, just the right texture. I will have a big bowl later on, as this is my last day of vacation.
Someone rescued a call called 10-year-old Kitty Cat from some people who died. Mrs. L.A. wanted to adopt him, but we weren’t sure how Tonka would take it. It got her thinking about getting another cat, and she’s been looking. The idea is to get a cat that can be a companion for 14-year-old Tonka. He can be very jealous. When Creamsicle adopted us, Tonka started peeing inappropriately. They became friends eventually. I think he might get along better with a female cat, than a male one.
Mrs. L.A. wants to go to The Noah Center and look at Goo. We may have another cat today. (Or not. We’ll see.)
She also likes Sammy; but again, I don’t know if Tonka would accept a male.
I just finished washing our 2 cars. Not gonna mess with the truck, tho. After I cool down a bit, I’ll vacuum both vehicles, and I may even do the inside windows of mine. **FCD **can do his own!
I fell victim to “As-Seen-On-TV” - I bought some Full Crystal to clean the outside of our windows. It said it’ll do up to 20 windows, the key being “up to.” I did 2 windows (granted, they’re long ones) plus a 4-paned bow window and a 2-door storm door. That was it. By my calculations, it would take 5 packets to clean all the windows in the house. Hah!
Plus it claims it will reach windows 27’ away. Four of our windows would be 2nd story - over the walk-out end of the basement. I seriously doubt there’s enough pressure to clean that high. I will say the ones I did clean look pretty good, but still, I’m guess they arrived at 20 based on bathroom-size windows. I’d send them a nasty email, but there’s no option for that on the website. So I just left a bad review at the WalMart site, since I bought it there.
I had a post at some point yesterday, but ::Poof::
I have almost that many for July but I wasn’t away.
[ul]
[li]2 fireworks shows[/li][li]Lighthouse sunrise[/li][li]Evening on the beach[/li][li]Carnival[/li][/ul]
& from yesterday:[ul]
[li]Race[/li][li]Manahttanhenge[/li][/ul]
I just recently exited bed; I’m not a lazy slug, it was almost a 23 hr day yesterday including a race, standing around for almost 3 hrs to get a photo, that a cloud ruined at the last minute (:() & 7+ hrs of driving.
Now I gotta pull the camera out of the car & see what I really did shoot yesterday, fix the dryer, do laundry, get food & do something outside. IOW, a usual Sunday.
BTW, it looks like Ruble let one of his littlecannons get fired.
The front yard got whacked, and the porch got hosed.
We need more mulch out front, I knew it wasn’t deep enough, and now all kinds of things are poking their little green heads through.
I weeded for an hour out back, it’s very hot out, too hot to stay out there too long. At least I remembered the Repel today. Yesterday I was getting eaten alive by the little bastridges.
I think we will skip the dog park again today. I have too much stuff to do and it’s awfully hot anyway.
