Hereafter

Just saw “Hereafter” with Matt Damon. (Matt Damon was in it. He didn’t watch it with me. I would have not been a very nice host to him had he been here!).

It was easily one of the most excruciatingly boring 2 hours of my life!!! Law enforcement should consider using this film as a tool for interrogations.
After 30 minutes I was ready to scream “STOP!!! STOP!!! I’LL CONFESS!!! I’LL CONFESS!!!”. But it could be a violation of the 8th Amendment.

Just awful!

A guy drives a girl waaaaaaayyyy out in the country on a date. When they park he says to her, ‘Do you believe in the Hereafter?’ She asked him why. He said, ‘Because if you ain’t here after what I’m here after, you’ll be here after I’m gone!’

OMFG I hope that the movie is better than that joke. From the OP, tho, I’m guessing that the joke is better than the movie.

Why did he make this rather than Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season?

I kept wanting to like it. There were good, poignant “I know I’m being manipulated, but I don’t care where’s the Kleenex” moments. But it just didn’t…add up. It didn’t SAY anything. It didn’t inform on the human condition or start an argument or make me…care.

Meh.
(And I’m pretty sure it was 3 hours. At least.)
