No matter what section it’s in or for whatever reason, I’m not crazy about threads that consist of inviting a group attack on any one poster. Isn’t it up to the mods to ban posters who would be that much of a problem. I wish this would be disallowed. Just my opinion.

I’m wondering how long this can go on. She opens a new thread to pit Ladymarmalade, and everyone ends up piling on somebody new. She opens a pit thread for that person, and a fourth person ends up getting dogpiled. I wonder if it would just go on infinitely, or if it’ll eventually loop back around and turn into a pitting of Annie Xmas again.

On Sunday, I got gang hug raped. One of my biker friends went down and is in the hospital, so I went to visit him. All of our friends stood up and grabbed me and hugged me, the women included. Does this mean that I’m now bisexual?

Not that I’m not saying that ZPG is a nutbar. Cos she totally is. But I think that the whole handshake = rape thing is way overblown - a combination of her not phrasing it well and people deliberately interpreting it to make her seem even nuttier.
Look at it this way:

She has had men who will not take “I don’t shake hands, thank you.” for an answer, and even attempted to force her to do so. This is an invasion of boundaries by any definition.

To me, this seems perfectly logical. However, because she is a total nutbar about other things (adoption, other aspects of male-female relationships), and because this statement was made in the course of her defending one of the other things that she’s insane about, it got blown out of proportion.
Saying “ZPG thinks that all handshakes are rape” is along the lines of the “Al Gore claimed he invented the internet” or “That lady got millions and millions of dollars from McDonalds for spilling coffee on herself” - a distortion at best, a lie at worst. There’s plenty of legitimate things to mock her for, but at the very least make sure you’re mocking what she actually thinks, not your straw man version of it.
Yeah, except she’s said before she sees EVEN OFFERING to shake her hand as an assault on her person, and that men should NEVER OFFER to shake a woman’s hand, because women shouldn’t have to shake their hands, and even the act of offering is a prelude to assault. Even if the man in question has never met her before and is completely unaware of her complete and utter fucknuttery.
And she doesn’t see this as something peculiar to her or her vaguely defined “culture”. She thinks this applies equally to all women everywhere, so two normal people engaging in something so commonplace and boring that they probably forget about it two seconds later are really engaging in rape. That’s all kinds of nutso.
