What Mexico should do if a wall happens: work towards improving the economy, reducing crime, bettering the lives of the people who live there, and making positive contributions to the world community. Same as they should do without the wall. Same as they’re trying to do already. Same as what every normal country does.
Actually, there is one thing they should do differently if a wall happens: send busloads of people to line up along the border to point and laugh at the wall.
What Mexico has announced is a new economic zone along the US border. It lowers taxes, increases minimum wages to close to $9 hour at the current exchange rate, and sets gas prices at US levels.
The OP, on the other hand, feels like someone taking a shotgun to their own foot in response to a neighbor building a fence on their own property.
