Burmese, in defiance of the strict government ban on the new Rambo film, are downloading it in droves. Go Burmese! They risk serious prison time just for watching it – not just possessing it, but rather simply having seen it!
Although since the government has strict control over the Internet, I wonder how they’re accessing it.
Just an update here. The Burmese government is ordering all publications to criticize the new Rambo film.

"The author of the article passed judgment on all four Rambo movies, describing the protagonist as a terrorist and a puppet of US government propaganda. ‘Rambo is a man who does not smile. He is an aggressive, hot-blooded man who seems to have a mental illness,’ the author opined. ‘The movie made me cry in my heart watching this poor man who is obviously crazy. But I will tell you seriously, the movie Rambo is as humorous as the Bruce, *Evan * and *God Almighty * movies’.”
Wow, those Burmese are so good at pirating movies that they’ve gotten the third Bruce Almighty film out before it even hit American theaters! Or was shot! Or greenlit!
Yeah, when I think of Myanmar, my thoughts always drift toward what a happy place it is.
After last year, I’ll support any defiance on the part of the Burmese.
