Seriously? What is he … 50 years old? This can’t end well.
Already? Seems I just heard he started training. Who is he fighting?
If his opponent isn’t Bo Jackson … it should be.
He spent 10 minutes as a ballerina, and another 10 minutes as a bobsledder, so he was due for another enthusiasm.
Herschel Walker is the Mr. Toad of sports.
I dunno I’m interested. I have a friend atShowtime telling me about it.
ijust watched Herschel’s mma debut… while he wasn’t say fluid… the shape and cardio he is in is phenomenal… when it was over he wasn’t benI t over… mma is exhausting…
I will take this a bit more seriously from him and look forward to seein him fight again…
When I first heard about this, I thought it was a different Herschel Walker (y’know, like Jay Cutler the bodybuilder, as opposed to Jay Cutler the whiney quarterback). Apparently he’s been training in martial arts since before he’d ever set foot on an NFL field.
He’ll be 48 in March (Psst. Calling Brett Favre…) I’m hoping he starts a trend among ex-NFL players. Bo Jackson would be interesting. I read an interview recently where he talked about how he once had to take down an attacking bear with a bow and arrow. Not that it would do much good in an MMA fight, but damn…
Vincent (bo) Jackson is really heavy now… i guess with retirement and the hip its to be expected… Herschel is just a freak!! Dude has never lifted weights… he eats one meal a day… and stated on the radio here in ga that he had a piece of candy two months ago… thats it for junk food… no soda no cake no pie no nothing… herschel also has never lifted weights… simply push ups sit ups dips and pull ups… something else… entirely…
Yeah, he was pretty stiff, but the guy is a really smart fighter.
Even so, that kind of fighting that he did would be exhausting for any fighter. Can you think of any fighter that can keep a man that large pinned like Herschel did for pretty much the entire 15 minutes and NOT be exhausted?
Well, when you do a few thousand of each per day, it sorta makes up for the lack of weights.
I’ve met Herschel a few times, and he’s an interesting guy, to say the least.
