I’m not sure which is more noteworthy: The fact that the Police told the reporter that this guy was dead when he wasn’t, or the way in which the accident occured.
From this article:
(Bolding mine.) Ouch. I can see why police might have seen that as a fatal accident, I suppose, but someone really should have done a bit more checking into it.
And then I read what led up to the accident. You know how sometimes when you’re driving and some asshole is speeding while passing in and out of lanes and just being an idiot behind the wheel and you might even think something evil like “I hope we pass this guy upside down in a ditch” or at least pulled over by the cops. Well, that was this guy:
(Bolding mine, again.) I certainly don’t wish the man dies, but if he *does *survive, I hope he’s learned a lesson or three.
He was driving 95mph on * Rte 9*??? I sure hope someone else showed up to defuse Goldfinger’s nuclear device, because that’s the only reason I can think of to be driving at that speed on that road.
Yep, Finagle, Route 9 in Framingham. Unreal, eh? For those not familiar, it is a two-lane road straight through a long stretch of crowded shopping areas with lots and lots of traffic and stop lights - one of those places where traffic barely moves at rush hour. It happened at 8pm, so the traffic was probably not that bad, but the road at that location, with lots of stores and near the on/off ramp to another major road, is not a speedway at any hour.
