When I lived in Canada last year we constantly called it Canaidia. Some of the locals joined in too, they didnt seem bothered.
Oh, and we stayed in Newfoundland.

Wouldn’t work. Everyone knows that North Dakota is really South Saskatchewan. It’s where people from Regina go to get warm.
