Seriously though, this is a really cool recording once you get used to it. It’s the first release from her upcoming new album which features quite a collection of heavyweight musicians. If you don’t like it I’d suggest that you wait through the first chorus before dismissing it. I hated this song on my first listen but the chorus stayed with me and brought me back, and now the more I listen to it the more I like it. The lyrics are up now on the official Youtube release and that helps too. Lemme know what you think.

Just saw that she won 2 First Place awards (Performance and Music Video) in the International Songwriting Competition for 2013 for one of my favorite Kimbra videos, Come Into My Head.
And lest anyone think weird is all she does, check out Kimbra’s “Live At Sing Sing Studios” performances, especially her cover of Nina Simone’s Plain Gold Ring.
Hmm…since a fair number of people always seem to look at my Kimbra threads even if they don’t say anything, I’m gonna post this little snippet of her in the eighth grade working on a song her group (yeah, I guess she had a group even then) had created. Quite the little pro, even then.
