I concur this is a tough pick, and from just what you’ve thrown out there, I’d have to probably say A.
But is there more data you could add, like is this who to start this week, or some sort of trade offer? And in case that it makes a difference, how does scoring work in your league(s)?
I like B. I’m an Anderson fan, and I don’t like power backs like Bettis and Dunn, but I think that what you lose on RBs you more than make up for in WRs. Moss is real good, but you improve much more across the board. How many WRs can you start?
Up to 4 WRs. But, I’ll probably play Green and Bettis and those three, except for bye weeks.
I just made the trades to go from Team A to B. I figured it was better to have 3 solid receivers than to have one stud and some scrubs. Yes, I traded down in RBs somewhat, but Bettis is money for 1100-1300 yards and 8 TDs. Not horrible by any stretch.
I still have Keenan McCardell and Ike Hilliard (if his damn foot ever gets better) on the bench.
Also I have Michael Pittman and Richard Huntley as reserve RBs – neither has touched the ball this year but I’m confident at least one of them will be starting soon. Neither one of them is a good fantasy starter but I think that one of them will be OK for a replacement on bye weeks (Bettis already had his bye, also).
Bettis just doesn’t have the chances he used to. The Steelers’ offense is trying to find a passing game, and the running game is evolving into a multi-back offense with Chris Fuamatu-Ma’afal’a (sp) and Amos Zereoue taking up the slack. Defenses have been keying on Bettis for years, forcing Kordell Stewart to pass, unfortunately.
The receivers are a question, because Minnesota is not as strong as they were, and Ward has the same problem… Stewart.
But for running backs you can’t beat Green and Anderson.
You should listen to this guy, he is kickin’ ass and takin’ names in our SDMB league. [sub]'course he has Peyton Manning in a league which favors good QBs…[/sub]
Never mind, Anderson justed sprained his knee. Go with Bettis like I said before. Oh, you already did. Good call, and Bettis had a very solid game today.
