Terrorism itself is in all of us. Occupy a country and you are going to get insurgents. That is the way the world works. It happened in Vietnam, it happened in Ireland, it is happening in Iraq. Religion comes into it, but it is peripheral to the subject of nation state. Legitimacy comes into it, and that carried the day in post WWII Germany. When the legitimacy is not iron clad, things get nastier. Look in your atlas to see where people perceive themselves to be occupied. That is where you will see terrorism. It is convenient to blame a religion, but it does not stand up to scrutiny. Learn to differentiate between correlation and causation.
If some foreign state occupied our countries, I am pretty sure you would pretty soon see some fucking nasty terrorism.
I didn’t say that the majority were terrorists. The majority of muslims care only about themselves and their own beliefs. They don’t give a flying fuck about anyone who doesn’t agree with them or see the world thru their totally fucked up eyes.

Oh, FTR, pre Iraqi Freedom I spent 19 months total in the middle east including UAE, Kuwait and Saudi. I dealt with regular everyday people over there on a regular basis. My opinion is not based solely off the news and talk shows.

Firstly, the “cunt” thing is clouding the issue more than it’s clouded anyway. In the UK and Ireland, it’s offensive, but ubiquitous and way less offensive than you appear to be taking it. It’s usually used towards men, not women, so I’m guessing yojimbo thought you were a man.
gum, what is the “black” thing all about? The Sudan situation is ethnic Arabs vs. ethnic Black Africans, both of whom worship the same branch of Islam, as Tamerlane points out (and I think we can take his word for it). How does that relate to Islam? Please. If you’re saying that Islam is anti-black (are you? I’m having trouble working out what you’re saying), why aren’t the black Muslims attacking themselves?
Given that data, surely you can see that Islam is nothing to do with what is a racist and ethnic conflict in Sudan. WHICH I CONDEMN, in case you don’t think I do. It has been compared to the conflict in Rwanda, which was between non-Muslim groups, who did indeed cut each others’ heads off, as well as countless other appalling acts of murder. Why do you blame the religion, not the tribal nature of that society.
I am not denying that there are a whole lot of fucked up things going on in the Islamic world. I agree. But you are ranting to the point of incomprehensibility.
