What a bunch of malcontents. I send lovely handmade valentines, and all I hear is complaints about the confetti. Sheesh. Next year it’s dollar store all the way.

My first thought - I kid you not - was “when did I donate blood in Canada, and why is it taking them this long to tell me I need to be checked for one of those unmentionable blood diseases?”
(I’ve only been to Canada once in my life, and that was to step across the border from Warroad, Minnesota so I could say I’ve been to Canada - so the thought was fleeting).
I came home today to a mess o’ Doper Love. My Perfect Child[sup]TM[/sup] was jealous. So jealous that she didn’t offer me any of the truffles her boyfriend gave her, the brat!
No confetti here, tho - must be my good, clean living!

i got bunches today. bit of a snow delay here. i always open carefully incase of confetti happiness. i have a bowl i collect all the confetti in. i am amazed at all the handmade cards.
why yes, i am a bit strange.
Y’all may have heard we had a little snow here – I got stuck going out this morning and then stuck again tonight trying to park (they still haven’t plowed my street. So I was a wee bit grumpy when I finally made it to my front door – but my mood swung immediately when I found ten valentines waiting for me. This is sooooooo cool! Kudos esp. to the lovely XJETGIRLX who made a really cool handmade greeting with a nice quote on the back.
So have we figured out what the next card-sending opportunity is?
I got two the day before yesterday and five yesterday. I love them all and they brighten the gloomy yucky snowy weather! No confetti yet, but I am eagerly waiting for it!!!
Well, I got engaged this weekend to a Canuck, and my first thought on getting Curious Canuck’s card was
“Damn - you mean I need a blood test just to get engaged to Bob?”

Apparently, I mistyped my address when I sent it in.
(You’d think I’d know it by now, but) but only by one number… and it was the final number, and there isn’t a house or apartment at the address I typed, so the PO was able to figure it out.

I’m resurrecting this thread briefly just to say thanks to everyone who sent me a card! I only opened them this week because due to a severe ice storm, I had no electricity for a WEEK and had to leave town! (Packed up the children and went home to Mommy.) So feeling distinctly discombobulated from being away from home and office (also without power) for nine days, it was lovely to open Valentine greetings! And Sheepi I’m sort of a sheep nut, so your lovely handmade Valentine goes nicely with my office decor! I also enjoyed the blood services Doper love.
